National foster care awareness month is dedicated to bringing awareness to foster care each May.

There are 11 other months we should also be bringing awareness to foster care. With over more than 400,000 children in the US foster system, we must continue to advocate and bring awareness each and every day of the year.

We promise to keep striving to be the voice for those who often don’t get one, and to keep bringing awareness and education to our communities.

Creating care packages for families when kiddos move on 🩵

As we finish out please consider coming alongside our organization by purchasing items from our Amazon wish list, including items for birthdays, welcome bags, and hygiene items. These items support the families and children when transitions are occurring.

We will also gladly accept donations of items at our office. We are currently accepting:

- Hygiene items for big and little kiddos
- Birthday gifts for big and little kiddos
- Pajamas for kiddos (4T & up)

Due to the nature of these items, please only donate new/unopened items.

May is grocery gift card month for our resource families! 🤩

You can stop by the office Tuesday-Thursday from 1-4, or email/message us if you need accommodation. 🍎

These cards are available for all foster, adoptive, and kinship families in Macon, Jackson, Swain, Clay, Haywood, Cherokee, and Graham counties. 💳
