Child Passenger Safety Month is a reminder that the right car seat, properly installed and correctly fitted, can make all the difference in protecting our youngest passengers.

Take time to make sure your child is in the right seat for their age and size and that they’re buckled correctly on every ride. Small steps can help prevent serious injuries and save lives.

Buckle up the ones you love. ❤️

As we approach the Labor Day weekend, celebrate safely and make a plan before the festivities begin. If alcohol or any impairing substance is part of your celebration, do not drive.

Choose a designated driver, use a rideshare, or stay where you are. One responsible decision can prevent a life-changing crash.

Enjoy the holiday weekend. Get home safely. Never drive impaired.

The summer heat is still here, and temperatures inside a parked vehicle can rise dangerously fast. ☀️🚗

Never leave a child alone in a vehicle, even for a few minutes. Make it a habit to look before you lock and always check the back seat before walking away.

A simple routine can prevent a tragedy. Stay alert, stay safe, and help spread the reminder.

School buses are back on the road, and drivers play an important role in keeping children safe.

When you see a school bus slowing down, slow down and stay alert. Children may be waiting nearby or preparing to cross the street.

🟡 Yellow flashing lights: Slow down and prepare to stop.
🔴 Red flashing lights and stop arm extended: STOP and wait. Never pass a stopped school bus.

Before driving again, make sure the red lights have stopped flashing, the stop arm is withdrawn, and the bus has started moving.

Slow down. Stay alert. Protect our kids.

Traffic Awareness Month is a reminder that every choice behind the wheel matters. Speeding, distraction, impairment, and other risky behaviors can have life-changing consequences.

Slow down. Put the phone away. Buckle up. Drive sober. Stay alert. Arriving safely is always more important than arriving quickly.

Make safe driving a habit. Protect yourself and everyone sharing the road.

Summer heat is still here, and the danger is real. More than 1,000 children have died of heatstroke over the past 25 years after being left or becoming trapped in a hot car. It’s important to remember that these tragedies can happen to anyone, but they are always preventable. Never leave a child in a vehicle, even for a moment. Look before you lock.

As students head back to school, our roads get busier with school buses, pedestrians, cyclists, and families heading to and from school. This is an important time to slow down, stay alert, and give your full attention to the road.

Safe driving choices can make a difference in protecting students and everyone sharing the road. Like this post to pledge to drive safe this back-to-school season.

🚌 It’s back-to-school time! 🎒

Take a moment to talk with your school-aged children about staying safe at the bus stop and around school buses. A few simple reminders can help keep everyone safe:

🕒 Arrive early to the bus stop so there’s no need to rush.
👣 Stand at least 3 big steps back from the curb while waiting.
🚫 Don’t run or play near the street or while waiting for the bus.
🚌 Never walk behind a school bus.
👀 Wait until the bus comes to a complete stop and the driver signals that it’s safe before approaching or crossing.
↔️ When crossing in front of the bus, stay at least 5 big steps ahead so the driver can see you.
📱 Keep phones and other distractions put away when getting on or off the bus and crossing the street.
🎒 Use handrails and watch your step when boarding and exiting.

A quick safety conversation before the first day can help kids start the school year prepared and aware. ❤️

ThinkFirst. Stay alert. Stay safe.
