Here's a very patriotic event happening in Calais on July 3rd at 11am. All proceeds from flag dedications will be given to the Calais Veterans Center! Thank you Keenes Lake Family Campground for your support, and your patriotism!

By now, many people have heard about the tragic incident that occurred in Calais this evening. Out of respect for everyone involved, we are not going to comment on the circumstances surrounding the event.

We have heard reports that the individual involved may have been a veteran, though we have not been able to confirm that information.

Regardless, this is a good reminder that help is available for veterans who may be struggling with mental health challenges, homelessness, crisis situations, or simply need someone to talk to.

If you are a veteran in need of assistance, or if you know a veteran who may need help, please reach out.

The Calais Veterans Center is available to help connect veterans with resources and services. If the center is open, stop by and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.
