Choose to be prepared to save a life!
Join Texas VFW's Su***de Prevention Chair Jack Bruso in this September Challenge, encouraging every Post to have at least one member complete a recognized su***de prevention training or host a training for the Post and community.
Plan ahead for September as the nationally recognized su***de prevention awareness month and consider partnering with your local VA Su***de Prevention Coordinator, Vet Center, county mental health authority, or another qualified instructor to bring training directly to your members.
Training options include:
• VA S.A.V.E.
• QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer)
• ACE (Ask, Care, Es**rt)
• ODB (Operation Daily Battle) training
• Other approved su***de prevention or gatekeeper training

Su***de prevention starts with connection, and it grows through education. The more Veterans who know how to recognize warning signs and respond with confidence, the stronger our Posts and communities become.
If your Post completes this 1st Month's Challenge, share your photos and tag Texas VFW so we can recognize your commitment to saving lives.
