🐾❤️ MAC’S GIVES BACK — OCTOBER ❤️🐾

This one has my whole heart.

October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, and for this month’s Mac’s Gives Back, Mac’s N’ More is partnering with the Hopkins County Humane Society!

Throughout October, Mac’s Gives Back will be collecting monetary donations and needed supplies for the shelter. I’ll also be featuring adoptable dogs right here on my page — because if sharing one sweet face helps ONE dog find their forever home, that alone is a win in my book. 🐶🏡

AND… I’m doing something extra special at Mac’s N’ More. 👀🍞

I created an October ONLY sourdough loaf specifically for Mac’s Gives Back. Meet the Homeward Bound Loaf — a Rosemary Garlic Sourdough, and 100% of the proceeds from every Homeward Bound loaf sold will go to the Hopkins County Humane Society. 🐾🍞❤️

But I knew from the beginning that I wanted to find a way to get our community involved, too.

I’m so excited that Mad City Drinks & Treats will be supporting Mac’s Gives Back by serving as an additional collection location throughout October! They’ll be helping collect dog food, cat food and other needed items for the shelter. 🐾❤️

Evolved Nutrition is also doing something pretty amazing of their own! From October 11 through November 11, 50% of every Humane Society Tea sold will be donated to the Hopkins County Humane Society. They’ll also have a cash donation box and will be collecting cat food and cat litter. ❤️

THIS is exactly what I want Mac’s Gives Back to become.

Using this little business of mine to bring people together, getting other local businesses and our community involved, and finding ways to do some good right here at home. We may all be contributing in different ways, but we’re coming together for the same purpose. ❤️

Same sweet treats. A bigger purpose.

Stay tuned throughout October for adoptable pups, donation updates, ways you can help, and plenty more. 🐾❤️

Let’s show these babies what Hopkins County can do. 🐶🐾

🐾 Partners for Paws Program Update 🐾

The Hopkins County Humane Society is excited to share that our Partners for Paws Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Program has been an incredible success! Thanks to the support of our community, participating veterinary partners, and the Hopkins County Fiscal Court, dozens of pets have already received services that will help improve their health and reduce pet overpopulation throughout Hopkins County.

As we move toward the conclusion of the program, we still have:

🐶 60 Dog Vouchers Remaining
🐱 132 Cat Vouchers Remaining

Please remember that all vouchers must be issued no later than June 30, 2026, so we encourage eligible pet owners to apply as soon as possible while funding remains available.

We also want to make our participants aware of an important program update. Animal Medical Center (AMC) on Island Ford Road has made the decision to NO LONGER participate in the Partners for Paws Program. AMC will honor all appointments that have already been scheduled through the program, but they will not be accepting any new Partners for Paws appointments moving forward.

If you selected AMC as your participating clinic but have not yet scheduled your appointment, a member of our team will be contacting you to assist with transferring your voucher and scheduling services with one of our remaining participating clinics.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the veterinary clinics that continue to make this program possible:

❤️ Tender Care Veterinary Clinic – Princeton Road, Madisonville
❤️ Friends of Butler County Animal Clinic – Morgantown
❤️ Luna Veterinary Services – Princeton

Their commitment to affordable spay and neuter services is making a lasting impact on animal welfare throughout our region.

Thank you to everyone who has helped make Partners for Paws such a tremendous success. Together, we are creating a healthier future for pets and reducing the number of homeless animals in our community.

For questions about the program or remaining vouchers, please contact the Hopkins County Humane Society.

To the Fundraising Committee — THANK YOU!

Today would not have been possible without each of you and the countless hours you dedicate behind the scenes.

Angie, thank you for taking charge of our volunteers and making sure everyone was where they needed to be. Your organization and leadership kept everything running smoothly.

Brandi, thank you for handling the registration table like a boss! I've been told it was the smoothest registration process we've ever had.

Debby, thank you for always being willing to run errands, pick things up, write thank-you notes, and constantly checking in to see what else is needed. Your dedication never goes unnoticed.

Kate, thank you for overseeing the course setup, helping place posters throughout the community, and always stepping in wherever help is needed. Your willingness to do whatever it takes makes such a difference.

We are incredibly fortunate to have a team that works so hard for our mission. Thank you all for helping make today's event a success!

Now, take a breath, enjoy what we've accomplished, and get ready for the next event!
