So glad to have the rain! The weather has been so very dry but the plants are happy now! Bees, blooms and butterflies. We feel like the habitat we strive to provide is starting to emerge. So very grateful to everyone who has helped us on this journey. Next Sunday, August 9 from 9 to 2, we will be installing plants from Dane County. Should be a great day!

Monarch in Harmony Prairie on the Marsh milkw**d today.

A neighbor who walks along the prairie area on a regular basis and picks up trash stopped by this morning and told us that the prairie was a "miracle". He thanked us for the effort and the beauty of transforming the area.

We recently received notice that we have been awarded native plants from the Dane County Land & Water Resources Department and we will be picking them up on August 5th. We will be hosting a Let's Plant day on Sunday August 9th from 9 am to 2 pm. Please join us as we continue to improve the railroad rigth-of-way and celebrate the arrival of monarch butterflies and rusty-patched bubmblebees to the area!

Thanks Dane County!!

Elizabeth Braatz sent us this photo of a Rusty Patched Bumblebee queen on one of our bee balm plants!! She reported that they also saw a Rusty Patched worker bee. This is the reward for the work that our volunteers have put forth on installing and maintaining the site. Thanks everyone!
