Last night, AMASIAN was asked to accept a Dane County Resolution that recognizes May 2026 as Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi American (APIDA) Heritage Month. It was truly an honor to accept this on behalf of the APIDA community, to celebrate the many contributions we've made here in Wisconsin and to acknowledge the hardships many of us have faced along the way.

At AMASIAN, we believe that our community is better and stronger together. Like many nonprofits, we are continuing to grow and evolve, and we've recently gone through a leadership update. Im exited to introduce our new team: President Anne Marie Malachowski, Vice President & Treasurer Sadie Minobe, and Legal & Compliance lead by May La Rosa.

Together, we're committed to growing AMASIAN and continue to uplift and support our community. 💛

Thank you, AMASIAN, for your gift supporting the implementation of Hmong American and Asian American history education. These funds will help bring Act 266 to life—a law that requires MMSD schools to include education on the contributions and history of Hmong Americans and Asian Americans in Wisconsin. This will allow all students to see themselves reflected in the stories they learn. We’re happy to continue to hold a designated fund for this important purpose. 👏
