It’s delightful to socialize with our sister branches. Attending the AAUW-Wisconsin: Fort Atkinson Branch picnic are Consuelo Lopez, with Pat Logterman (AAUW-Janesville, WI) and Barbara Rohland (Fort Atkinson). Also attending were Kleo Baruth Kritz and state board member Maggie Winz.

Our branch met on 5/26 for an excellent presentation and Q&A on the book “Milked: How an American Crisis Brought together Midwestern Dairy Farmers and Mexican Workers’’ presented by Ruth Conniff, Editor-in-chief, .
Following the presentation and the business meeting, officers for the 2026-27 year were installed.

AAUW Greater Madison Area is pleased to support students from Madison LaFollette and Monona Grove high schools as they continue their education. Scholarships were awarded at each school’s senior celebration evening.
Please join our branch in celebrating Caroline Woodford (LaFollette) and Adele Lafayette (Monona Grove).

Sunday’s included an article highlighting Leslie Wright, a recipient of the Outstanding Returning Adult Student Awards. Congratulations to Leslie and all who continuing their education as returning adults. AAUW Greater Madison Area supports this award as a part of our scholarship mission.

AAUW‘s Greater Madison branch assisted at the ‘26 Games at the Capitol spearheaded by Eve Galanter. Congratulations to the two Wauwatosa teams that came in first and second!
Fabulous performances gained them terrific college scholarships.
