Wisconsin is part of the national Click It or Ticket campaign, which continues through May 31. WisDOT State Patrol is cracking down on seat belt use — and for good reason. In 2025, over 7,600 crashes in Wisconsin involved unbelted occupants, resulting in 145 deaths and 1,876 injuries.
Buckle up every ride.

It's planting season — and that means tractors and farm equipment are back on rural Wisconsin roads. The Wisconsin State Patrol is reminding drivers to slow down, give extra space, and watch for unexpected turns.

Farmers have responsibilities too — proper lighting, staying right, and following road weight limits. Safety this season depends on everyone sharing the road.

(UNDATED) Drivers across rural Wisconsin will start seeing more slow-moving farm equipment on the roads as planting season ramps up, and state officials are urging ... Read more

A new assessment reveals 1,600+ small bridges and culverts in poor condition across Wisconsin — structures that don't meet the size threshold for state or federal funding, leaving local communities stuck with the bill.

Fix Wisconsin's Bridges is a statewide initiative working to change that by collecting firsthand accounts, local stories, and real data to build the case for solutions that keep Wisconsin communities connected and safe. https://ow.ly/xgeI50Z0UVT

Wisconsin remains the No. 1 cranberry-producing state in the nation, with 4.8 million barrels harvested in Wisconsin in 2025 — more than 60% of the entire U.S. crop. Our state's cranberry industry generates a $1 billion annual economic impact and supports more than 4,000 Wisconsin jobs across 250+ growers in 19 counties.

Getting that crop to market depends on reliable roads and infrastructure in central and northern Wisconsin, where Wood, Monroe, Jackson, and Juneau counties lead the state in production, as well as across the state.
