What a night at Russell Branch! 💚

Open House was everything we hoped it would be—a chance for our founding Owl families to explore their new Nest, meet teachers, and kick off an exciting school year together.

A special thank you to Superintendent Mr. Terrell for stopping by to welcome families and support our newest school! We also loved seeing our amazing administrators, teachers, staff, volunteers, and PTA board working together to make the evening a success.

🍎 Our snack cart made the rounds to keep our teachers and staff fueled as they worked late preparing classrooms.

💚 Thank you to everyone who stopped by the PTA table! We welcomed new members, received volunteer interest sign-ups, and loved seeing so much excitement for our spirit wear and yard signs.

One special perk of Kindergarten Phase-In Days is that Kinder-Parents are invited to walk their child into school on their assigned day. Take a few photos, soak in the moment, and celebrate this exciting milestone. 📸✨

After drop-off, head over to our Tears & Cheers Breakfast beginning at 7:45 AM—just for kindergarten parents! ☕🍩

Whether you’re celebrating, holding back tears, or feeling a little of both, we’d love to treat you to coffee, breakfast, and a chance to connect with other new Kinder-Parent families. Grab a treat to enjoy before heading on with your day!

We are looking for some volunteers to help up at the Russell Branch Elementary School Open House on Wednesday, August 5. Because everyone is new to the school, we expect families will want to explore the building in addition to visiting their own children's classrooms. Kindergarten Lunch Helpers Needed! 🧃

Help our newest Owls build confidence as they learn their lunchtime routine during their very first week of school! Volunteers will assist with simple tasks like opening lunch items, cleaning up trays, and encouraging our kindergarten students as they adjust to their new school environment.

🗓️ August 6, 7, 10, 11 & 12
⏰ 10:10 AM–11:15 AM

💚 A special note for our kindergarten families: To help our newest students settle into their school routine, we’re asking that kindergarten parents/families not volunteer during this first week of lunch. If you’re a kindergarten parent who has already signed up, we kindly ask that you withdraw your spot so another volunteer can serve. We promise there will be plenty of volunteer opportunities throughout the year for kindergarten families!
