Please join us in welcoming this talented and dedicated group of student performers (and a tiny future performer! 👶🏻) as they take the stage tonight for their very first Orton Park Show! They are part of our largest cast ever, with over 40 amazing dancers ready to dazzle you this weekend at the Orton Park Festival! Family Night, tonight! “The food and fun starts at 5:30, Forward! Marching Band sets off at 6:30 and Cycropia’s magical performance starts at 7:30.” Saturday night, show starts at 8:30 (come early to enjoy the festival!)

Coming together with community, Cycropia Aerial Dance brings its magical blend of dance and circus arts to the 2026 Orton Park Festival in a performance of enchanting works beneath the stars!

Audiences will have two chances to see this FREE, donation-supported performance, Friday, August 28, at 7:30 pm, and Saturday, August 29, at 8:30 pm.

Using single-point trapeze, aerial ladders, flying pole, stilts, aerial silks, and other custom-designed aerial apparatus, dancers will play with gravity and verticality as they perform on Cycropia’s custom-designed, free-standing aerial rig.

Cycropia has been performing at the Orton Park Festival for over 35 years, creating a Madison community dance tradition. The show is appropriate for all ages.

NOTE ON PERFORMANCE SEATING: Bring a blanket and a picnic! Seating is first come, first served. To assure best visibility for all attendees, we ask that you refrain from placing lawn chairs in the area in the front section of seating — from the line of our tech tent to the stage. Stadium seats or low chairs (< 8” off the ground) welcome in this area for guests desiring added support and/or comfort.

DONATIONS: This is a FREE, donation-supported performance. Contributions from our community are vital for the survival of our nonprofit arts organization and will allow Cycropia to continue to share the joy of ariel dance for years to come! There will be a collection during intermission, at both shows, for those wishing to contribute a donation in cash or via Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay, or credit card.
