Good morning, garden friends! Just wanted to let everyone know that we are leaving the stalks on all spent flowers up for the winter. The birds will come and eat the seeds, and insects will over-winter in the hollow stems. It all has a purpose, even though it looks a bit messy. Cheers and happy holidays to all living creatures!

Wonderfully serene morning watering the garden. Fall bloomers are kicking in as the summer bloomers fade. A pair of feisty hummingbirds kept me company until Fringed Campion member, Lida Hill, stopped by. What a great way to start the day!
