Meet the brave warrior who's fighting for a second chance! 🐾❤️ Edgecombe County Animal Services recently took in this male canine who was waiting beside a trap. Following a veterinary examination this morning, it was determined that he weighs 51 pounds with a body score of 1 out of 9. Despite the odds, he's still fighting! Unfortunately, the shelter lacks the necessary resources to provide the extensive care he requires. Radiographs were taken, but due to his severe emaciation, it is unclear if there is a blockage present. Additionally, he has tested positive for heartworms. But we can make a difference! Immediate rescue is crucial to prevent euthanasia. If you are willing to provide foster care for a rescue organization or if you are a rescue organization willing to take him in, please notify us and let's give this hero a happy ending! 🙏 We have until 4 PM tomorrow to find him help. The shelter cannot allow him to continue to suffer.
