We still have a few advertising spots available on our newly designed and soon-to-be printed Rice County Tourism brochure!

This brochure will be distributed to travel centers across the state, and potentially beyond, helping put Rice County businesses directly in front of visitors as they plan their travels.

We’re looking to feature local businesses that are a great fit for tourism, places that help tell the story of Rice County and make sense as visitor stops along the way.

This will also be an annual opportunity, with the option to renew or repurchase advertising space in future editions if interested.

🎉 2025 RCCF Community Fund Grant Applications Now Open! 🎉

We’re excited to announce that the Rice County Community Foundation (RCCF) 2025 Community Fund Grant application period is officially OPEN!

📅 Apply Now Through September 15, 2025
If you’re a non-profit, school, municipality, library, or community agency with a project that will benefit your town, this is YOUR opportunity to make it happen! Funding is available for ALL 8 Rice County communities based on population.

🏡 Community Grant Amounts:
Alden — $4,770
Bushton — $6,500
Chase — $12,700
Geneseo — $7,500
Little River — $15,000
Lyons — $115,500
Raymond — $4,770
Sterling — $72,000

📌 Key Dates:
• Apply by: September 15, 2025

The City of Lyons invites you to attend a park dedication event to be held on June 27th, 2025 at 10:00 AM. The city's newest park holds the "World's Largest Saltshaker" and serves as a landmark of our great respect for the history of salt mining in Lyons. We would like to thank Kansas Tourism, Lyons Salt, and Compass Minerals for their support of the project.
