Last Thursday Coastal Referral Exchange spotlight was all about insurance with Angela Glentadakis Turpin of Zellik Insurance Agency! 💜💚

Angela broke down what actually goes into determining your insurance rate, and spoiler alert… it’s a LOT more than most people realize. Your location, credit and insurance history, claims, coverage limits, deductibles, the property itself and even the people in your household can all play a part.

One thing I love about Angela is that she doesn’t just quote a policy and move on. She takes the time to understand the whole picture, explain your options and make sure the coverage actually makes sense for YOU.

And of course, we also got a little look at the Zellik team outside the office because apparently they know how to have some fun too. 😂

Another great presentation and another reminder of why I love this group. When you refer someone to Angela, I know they’re going to be taken care of. 👏

Another great morning at Coastal! 🌊

Lots of laughs, great conversations, and another awesome presentation this morning!

We heard from Page Driscoll with Commonwealth Payroll, who shared all the ways she and her team help businesses get their payroll and HR needs squared away — so business owners can spend more time focusing on what they do best.

Page shared some great examples, including clients who were literally Venmoing their employees before coming on board! 😂 From small businesses to larger companies, Commonwealth Payroll helps take the stress and guesswork out of payroll and getting the back office running the way it should.

We’re lucky to have such a great group of professionals who are always willing to share their expertise and help each other out.

Huge shoutout to Kerry Casey from Cross Country Mortgage for her presentation at CORE this morning! If you ever thought mortgages were boring, Kerry would prove you wrong. One of the coolest parts was getting to see redlining maps from 1933, government maps that determined which neighborhoods were "hazardous" for mortgage lending, almost always targeting minority communities. Kerry tied it all back to how those decisions still affect real estate and lending today. Wild to see it all mapped out like that, even if the history behind it is pretty messed up.
