In brick-making communities, families can become trapped by debts they cannot repay. They are stuck in a system that can continue for generations.

Freedom sometimes depends on having someone willing to keep showing up in court.

For this 13-year-old girl, the legal case cost about $500. Rescuing the family cost about $750. Rehabilitation cost about $1,500.

Every part mattered. All People Free pursued the case to a higher court, and she was returned to her parents.

For families trapped in generational debt slavery, home and work are often the same place. Children grow up surrounded by broken bricks, with little food, no education, and no freedom to leave.
