Today we rallied together at the 5th Annual Ride of Our Lives Motorcycle & Jeep Rally despite the rain in the name of mental health outreach, advocacy and support alongside our community partners - Horizon Behavioral Health and the Su***de Prevention Awareness Coalition. There were good conversations had, connections made and a palpable pulse of camaraderie. NAMI Lynchburg was honored at today's event with a "Community Action Award" for our dedication to safeguarding our community and bringing open dialogue between local law enforcement and the Citizens of Lynchburg - we are deeply thankful and truly humbled to have recieved such special recognition! Our work would not be possible without our past and current members, board of directors, and partners in the community. Special thanks to Jack Whisler, Megan Taylor Franklin and Orie Franklin for representing us today at the event!
