WOW! Summer flew by FAST!

Band camp was full of hard work, laughs, new friendships, and a whole lot of music. The kids put in the effort, but now the real adventure begins!

Tomorrow is the first day of school for all of our Franklin County students!

From all of the parents, teachers, volunteers, families, and friends…we hope each and every one of you has a FABULOUS first day! Make new memories, learn something new, and don’t forget to have a little fun along the way.

Marching Eagles: Don’t forget we have practice after school tomorrow until 6:45 PM!

If you’re going to be a bird…be an EAGLE and SOAR! Go put your best foot forward, represent Franklin County with pride, and keep making us all proud.

The Marching Eagles’ 2026 schedule is officially set! 🎺❤️🤍

Mark your calendars, grab your stadium chairs, and come cheer on this incredible group of young musicians all season long. We can’t wait to see everyone in the stands!

A couple of important dates to remember:

📅 Saturday, October 3 – The Franklin County Classic! This is our home marching band competition, and we’ll be welcoming bands from across Southwest Virginia for a full day of music, competition, and community.

🌭 Concessions = Supporting the Band! Throughout football season and at the Franklin County Classic, the Band Boosters will be running the concession stand. It takes a lot of volunteers to keep everything running smoothly, and every shift helps raise money directly for our band program.

Whether you can volunteer once or all season long, we’d love to have you! If you have any questions about concessions or volunteering, send us a message here or reach out to any Band Booster board member. We’re always happy to help.

We will have hamburgers and hotdogs for you to enjoy! Stop by the band booster table to see how you can help this season and ask any questions you may have.

July 30th is a pretty big day in the Marching Eagles family! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating Khloe Willard, one of our fabulous color guard members, and Mrs. Singer, wife of our wonderful band director and one of the helping hands behind our front ensemble!

Mr. Singer usually runs the show, but today Khloe and Mrs. Singer get top billing! Help us wish both of these special ladies a very happy birthday filled with lots of fun, plenty of cake, and absolutely no extra reps! ❤️🤍🦅🎉🎂🥳

Marching band is more than tootin horns, banging drums and twirlin flags. We are a family here and tonight we are headed to Salem for some FUN!! We are attending the DCI Summer Music Games of Southwest VA!!
Think of Franklin County Marching Eagles as the minor league of marching bands. DCI is the major leagues! Up to 165 members in each group and they perform for 12 min.
We are super excited to see them in action and have this experience!

Day #2 and these kids are really working hard! So much love, dedication and SPIRIT!

Today, our kids and crew were fed by, Rocky Mount Smokehouse! They generously donated the best bbq in Franklin County and the cheesiest Mac and cheese ever! Everyone was stuffed, but powered through the last few hours!

Thank you Rocky Mount Smokehouse for helping our marching Eagles, SOAR! We appreciate you so much!

Bojangles, Rocky Mount generously fed the kids and staff chicken supreme tenders and mac & cheese for dinner! Thank you Bojangles for your generosity and your support! You are helping these Eagles, SOAR!!!

Mandatory to bring:
A smile, good attitude, water, lunch and your marching shoes!

Dinner will be provided by Bojangles (chicken sandwich/Mac & Cheese)

Tuesday you will be fed dinner from Rocky Mount Smokehouse! Yummy BBQ & alllllll the fixins! Soooo yum!!
