JEWETT PRESERVE CLEANUP SCHEDULED FOR JUN. 2-3

On Tuesday, Jun. 2, and Wednesday, Jun. 3, the Town of Lyme will be performing some much-needed cleanup work in the Jewett Preserve. A contractor will be mowing down the barberry and clearing the fallen trees from the woods road, starting at the cemetery entrance to the preserve on Mt. Archer Road. (The woods road runs parallel to the White Trail and is used to provide emergency access to the preserve.)

The cemetery entrance will be closed during the cleanup work and signs will be posted advising residents to avoid the area while the work is underway, as the mowing machine may cause flying debris. Residents are encouraged to use an alternate entrance while the work is being conducted.
