Literacy grows by practice. Reading about ice cream and bubbles or reading about comic book superheroes saving the day is still reading and it still helps strengthen literacy.

End of year… but students still need reading practice

This is how you keep them engaged

Read about ice cream - then enjoy a treat
Read about bubbles - go outside and play (or make your own with dish soap/water and pipe cleaner wands)
Learn about pizza - make mini pizzas with half a bagel, sauce, and cheese
Learn about animals that glow - turn off the lights and add glow sticks or a black light

Simple
hands-on
and actually meaningful

Students are reading
thinking
and going back into the text to prove their answers

without it feeling like extra work

We are gathering art supplies for local teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. Please check the wish list and purchase supplies as you are able. All supplies will be shipped to us for assembly into the care packages. The more supplies we're able to gather, the more teachers we'll be able to bless!

POLL: We're organizing a fundraiser to raise funds to gift art/classroom supplies and/or books to teachers in George County for the 2026-2027 school year.

What top 3 art/general supplies would be most useful in elementary classrooms? Middle School classrooms? High school?

These would be items that teachers typically end up funding from their own pockets throughout the year.
