Last night was our annual Foster Parent Appreciation event. What a beautiful evening with amazing families and amazing Agency Staff who helped everything come together.
A huge thanks to Terri Furman KLBK for being our Emcee for the evening. She did an amazing job, as usual, giving this night the voice it deserves.
Another huge thank you to Trinity Fellowship Lubbock for sharing their beautiful space, helping us set up and clean up afterwards, and for letting us use the food serving spoons I pray we remembered to give back at the end of the night (!). And another Thank You to Pastor Jody Wilson for opening us up in prayer and a million other things he and the church helped with before it was all over.
Another thanks goes to Cristian Garcia of Saint Francis Ministries who offered a great tribute to our families to kick off the Award Ceremony.
Thank you so much to One Heart, including Monterey Church of Christ and Holy Spirit Catholic Church for providing a Foster Parent Night Out so that the families could enjoy some chid-free time to be loved on a little bit!
Thank you to all the Child Placing Agencies (x11), as well as Centers Post Adopt Services, Foster A Life, Carpet Tech, Mighty Wash, and Caleb's Closet for providing door prizes, and an extra shout out to Caleb's Closet for making sure every single family got to walk away with a door prize that evening. ❤️
And thank you to Betenbough Homes for donating the most awesome arrangements of balloons I think I've ever seen, and The Heart Gallery of the Panhandle Plains for all the amazing fiesta-themed decorations.
We got to see some pretty amazing families last night who have answered the call and opened their homes and their hearts to children in foster care. Families with amazing and beautiful stories. New and veteran families. Foster, Adoptive, and Kinship families. This event was all for you because we know how hard it can be and we know that there isn't always a Thank You. We want to say Thank You in a big way and we want to do it every chance we get.
So be on the lookout for next year! May 1, 2026!
