🚨🐾URGENT FOSTERS NEEDED🐾🚨

There’s certainly no denying that kitten season is officially in *full swing* here in Lubbock, and we desperately need YOUR HELP!

If you’ve ever been interested in fostering, now is the purrfect time to get started! 😻

Being a foster for KAC is easier than you may think! All you need is a small space where cats/kittens can be quarantined—even a small bathroom or laundry room will work just fine!

We provide:

🐾Supplies — including litter, food, toys, a crate (if needed), and more!

🐾Veterinary care — all KAC foster kitties will be fully vetted at no cost to you! KAC will cover 100% of all veterinary expenses during the foster process!

🐾Support — whether you're a first-time foster or a seasoned pro, we will provide continued support throughout your foster journey!

🚨 MISSING KAC FOSTER KITTY – NEEDS MEDICAL CARE 🚨

Annabelle is missing and we need your help to bring her home safely! She recently escaped from her foster home and was last seen in the apartment complex off 3rd & Frankford near Shadow Hills Golf Course.

Annabelle is currently undergoing critical medical treatment for neurological FIP, which affects her mobility — she desperately needs her medication to continue her lifesaving care.

Description:

🐾Black and white (tuxedo) cat.

🐾May appear timid, crouched low, dragging her back legs, or unable to move her back legs normally.

🐾She may be hiding under cars, patios, or in quiet, covered areas.

🐾She is not yet spayed or eartipped due to her ongoing medical treatment.

We currently have traps set and volunteers actively searching the area.

If you live nearby, please check back patios/porches, under cars, bushes, stairwells, and secluded corners.

If you see Annabelle, please contact KAC immediately via Facebook messenger with the exact location and time of sighting.

🚨🐾URGENT FOSTERS NEEDED🐾🚨

Lubbock Animal Services (LAS) recently reached out to KAC for assistance with a heartbreaking situation involving a large number of kitties who are desperately in need of urgent foster homes. Naturally, we contacted our friends at South Plains SPCA who have kindly offered to help us out in this joint rescue effort.

Currently, there are a total of 28 kitties needing placement, though this number will likely increase as the remaining cats are secured. They range in age from adolescent kittens to young adults.

These kitties have been through some pretty scary circumstances recently and could definitely use a little extra TLC. While it can be tricky to assess temperament in a shelter environment, they seem to want to trust strangers, but may need some additional socialization and patience to help them get there. Despite being a bit underweight, they appear to be in good health and will all be getting fixed, tipped, and fully vetted on Wednesday.

We would LOVE to give these kitties a chance at finding their forever indoor homes—but we desperately need help from our community to make it happen!

All you need is a small space, and lots of love and patience to help us save these innocent lives—KAC will provide the rest!

Once they are cleared for adoption, we will get them set up with our adoption partners at PetSmart to help them find purrrfect homes!

🐾Veterinary care — LAS will be ensuring all of these kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, eartipped, in addition to flea/tick prevention. However, if any additional vetting is required at any point in the fostering journey, KAC will cover it!

🐾Support from our volunteer team — Whether you’re a first-time foster or a seasoned pro, we are here to support you through every step of the process!

We had so much fun discussing TNR with everyone today at Lubbock-Con! 💙💛 Dodo sure enjoyed all the tasty treats, gentle pets, and big smiles she received from folks today! She is getting some extra beauty rest tonight in preparation to show off more of her biscuit-making skills tomorrow! 🐾🐈 Stop by our Kat’s Alley Cats booth to spin the wheel, give Dodo some love, and learn more about the importance of TNR and spay/neuter! 🎮🍿🐈‍⬛

Kimchi and Jojo are our last community cat "exes" to be spayed/neutered this year! They are now fixed, tipped, chipped, vaxed, and on their way to happier, healthier lives! ✂️🐾❤️‍🔥
