Unmounted meeting, the girls learnt about different kinds of bits then each had a couple of horses to describe, they did a wonderful job so we ended the meeting with a game of them describing some toy horses for us adults to guess which ones they had picked 🙂

Mounted games rally was a while ago, we had just one member who teamed up on a mega scramble team which included 4 different clubs. The girls worked well together organizing everything as best as they could. Our member had an unfortunate pony and rider fall in the warmup preventing her pony to race (he's absolutely fine now he was just a little stiff) which meant the team was a member down, she didn't have to ride but lots of very kind members offered ponies for her to ride which she was very thankful for and took them up on their offer. The team came 3rd HM and competition and won the sportsmanship trophy! Well done girls!

This evening the girls learnt all about clipping then got chance to have a go themselves, they did great!

Unmounted meeting, we talked about Safe horse pastures and toxic plants. We bathed a few ponies, rode ba****ck and finished up the day with designing and creating a face brush for our ponies 😊. We are going to miss our all day horse management days, we are back to school soon 😞

All the practice for tet paid off, the girls did great 😁 So proud of them. The weather was hot, wet and humid the first day and cold and windy the second but it didn't stop the girls from enjoying themselves. They were on a scramble team with Frederick and Riverbend, as a team they brought home 7th place and then 5th place for horse management. One of our members got individual 1st riding her pony who was out at his first ever event and for our other member it was her very first mounted rally 🙂 they were so grateful for having another one of our older members step in to be a stable manager to help them
