Into the Light NWA

Into the Light NWA Mission: Ending Child S*x Trafficking and Bringing Hope To Survivors We serve children in 16 counties in North West and North Central.

All services provided by Into The Light are designed to foster trauma-informed, long-term relationships with children whose lives have been impacted by the trauma of the s*x industry in Arkansas. The vast majority of the children we serve are Arkansans, though we serve any child regardless of where their trafficking occurred. We are committed to seeing an end to the s*x trafficking of children, no matter the cost.

98% of human trafficking survivors experience mental health challenges after recovery because of the intense trauma they have experienced.

Amy Lanning, Into the Light’s Assistant Developmemt Director, enjoyed a busy day in Little Rock today! Here is a recap of her experience:

Jennifer Cook of Shared Hope International and I joined the staff and volunteers at Caring Hearts Pregnancy Center to discuss critical factors in recognizing and preventing trafficking. We also shared the work Into the Light US does to support children and adults who have experienced trafficking.

We’re grateful for this opportunity and want to thank Caring Hearts and other pregnancy resource centers for being on the front lines of protecting vulnerable lives.

After stopping by our Little Rock office for a quick costume change, we joined the Bryant Rotary Club at Blue House Bakery and Cafe to hear Janet Dixon of New Beginnings Pregnancy Center share about their work supporting pregnancies and the early stages of parenthood. We’re looking forward to rejoining the Bryant Rotary Club in October to share more about the work being done to end child trafficking and support survivors.

To wrap up the day, I had the pleasure of dining with a mentor who has vast development experience . I’m immensly grateful not only for her mentorship in nonprofit development, but for her friendship as well.

Looking forward to another day of meaningful conversations and meetings tomorrow.

May is mental health awareness month. Trauma-informed mental healthcare is crucial for survivors of human trafficking. After recovery, every survivor has different therapy needs depending on the trauma they have endured. It is common for many survivors to need years of therapy or even life-long support.
At Into the Light, each survivor receives the specialized care they need that is tailored to their unique situation. You can partner with Into the Light today to help survivors access this critical type of care → intothelightus.org/give

Last month, Into the Light’s Assistant Development Director, Amy Lanning, got the opportunity to participate in the Out of Darkness Walk for su***de prevention on the UALR Campus, hosted by UALR Counseling Services and in conjunction with American Foundation for Su***de Prevention (AFSP). Over $3,000 was raised for su***de prevention!

Pictured in the top right with Amy is Sarah of UALR'S Cyberspace Operations Research and Education.

We want to give a special shoutout to Dr. Rachel Eells, Director of the School of Education, as well as Julio Alvarez and Justin Laffoon of The BridgeWay of North Little Rock and the nursing students who had the largest team presence!

What a joy it was to gather with more than 180 individuals at the 2026 Morning Light Prayer Breakfast to pray to our great God and stand together against the darkness and evil of human trafficking while lifting up survivors in prayer for healing, hope, and restoration.

We are incredibly grateful for the many community partners who joined us. Many of you work tirelessly on the front lines to protect vulnerable children and serve survivors in our communities. We could not do this work without you.

A special thank you to our keynote speaker, Daniel Grace of Grace Abounds Counseling, for sharing about both the devastating impact of trafficking and the incredible strength and resilience he witnesses while partnering with Into the Light to serve survivors.

As we continue this mission, we remain anchored in the truth that God alone can overcome this darkness and that He still has the power to bring healing, freedom, and restoration.

“He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God?” — Micah 6:8

Thank you to all of our underwriters, table sponsors, donors, and volunteers who made this beautiful event possible and who continue to make the mission and work of Into the Light possible every day.

Together, we continue to pray, seek justice, love mercy, and bring hope to survivors.

Snapchat, Tik-Tok, & Discord have been named as some of the most dangerous apps for children by several sources, including Our Rescue and Bark. These apps are notorious for providing unfiltered connection between children and strangers and also allow videos or photos to be sent back and forth. 3 ways you can help protect children include (1) placing safety features on your kids’ phones so they aren’t able to download apps or interact with strangers without your permission & monitoring. (2) Facilitate open conversations about online stranger danger, real-life possible scenarios where online exploitation could occur and red flags to be aware of. (3) Thank your children every time they confide and also stay calm if they ever report to you any potential online danger. Help them and their friends access help and resources whenever needed!
