🚨 KNOW THIS. SHARE THIS. SAVE THIS. 🚨

There is a rapid response network in Louisville.

If you see immigration officials in your neighborhood, at work, or near your home, call the rapid response line. Trained community members can observe, document, and help protect people’s rights.

This is about people keeping people safe.

Minneapolis showed us the path. When ICE invaded, the people shut the city down. ✊

That’s the power of a general strike and organized communities.

On January 30, our city will answer the call. We are walking out. We are shutting it down. From Minneapolis to everywhere, this is how we fight back.

ICE and CBP agents are out of control and put everyone in danger.

We're calling for ICE agents to withdraw from Minneapolis, and for Congress to rein in ICE’s abuses in our communities. Join us at aclu.org/stop-ice-attacks_

ICE just killed another man.

This violence is the result of deliberate policy choices, including continued funding by Congress, with bipartisan support.

A winter storm makes it unsafe to gather right now, but action does not stop.

Here’s what we’re doing:

📞 Call your U.S. Senators and Representatives today to demand an end to ICE funding and accountability for this killing. https://www.congress.gov/members/find-your-member

You don’t need a script. Say this:

“ICE just killed another person. I’m calling to demand an end to ICE funding and accountability for this violence.”

We may organize in person when it is safe to do so. Until then, we organize, we apply pressure, and we refuse silence.

Funding ICE is not progressive.

ICE has separated families, detained children, caused deaths, and terrorized entire communities, and these Democrats voted to keep that running.

This is cowardice.

If you protect power instead of people, don’t expect silence.
We’re angry. We’re disappointed. And we’re done pretending this is acceptable.

Y’all are feckless and weak. The right will continue to win as the Dems decrease their approval rating, all to “cross the aisle” with extremists.

Today we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by listening to his words. We’re sharing clips from four of Dr. King’s most powerful speeches:

- Let Freedom Ring
- Why I Oppose the War in Vietnam
- Somewhere I Read
- I Have a Dream

Dr. King spoke about more than dreams; He spoke about racism, economic injustice, militarism, and the moral failure of a nation. He was not celebrated by all in his time. He was called divisive. He was surveilled, attacked, and condemned for challenging power.

Recent reports show that the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division is shifting its priorities, including a focus on “reverse discrimination” claims and investigations into DEI efforts. At the same time, Trump has claimed that the Civil Rights Act caused white people to be “very badly treated.”

On MLK Day, we refuse the whitewashed version of his legacy, the one that celebrates compliance while ignoring his courage. To honor Dr. King is not to simply quote him, It is to continue the work he was killed for.

🚨 KENTUCKY BILL WATCH: KY HB47 and SB86 🚨

Kentucky lawmakers have introduced HB47, a bill that would force local law enforcement to work with ICE under federal immigration enforcement programs. We're seeing a similar bill (SB86) introduced in the senate that would require police to engage in immigration enforcement as part of their duties.

Bills like this will further undermine trust in local police, increase racial profiling, and put immigrant families at risk. These bills are dangerous!

Right now, they are both in the Committee on Committees. That means they haven't been assigned to a voting committee yet.

WHAT YOU CAN DO RIGHT NOW:
✅ Learn what HB47 and SB86 propose: https://legiscan.com/KY/bill/HB47/2026
https://legiscan.com/KY/text/SB86/id/3310567

✅ Find and contact your state representative: https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/findyourlegislator/findyourlegislator.html

✅ Follow for updates

We are watching, and we will not let fear-based politics go unchallenged. This is the early phase of the campaign. When these bills move to committee, we may call for action like frequent calls, emails, and public pressure. Stay ready.
