Student-run nonprofit on a mission to foster innovation, curiosity, and learning by engaging K-12 students from all genders & backgrounds in STEM education

STEM + Youth began as an after school club called the Manual Science Review (MSR), which aimed specifically to help duPont Manual High School students with their science fair projects. After two years of science research-related programming, MSR team members saw the tangible impacts that the club’s programs had on the school and wanted to expand this programming to all local students. STEMY is the

result of our drive to change lives by engaging all students, regardless of gender or background, in STEM. As many of us were originally staffers on MSR, we have a unique perspective on how STEM programs can have dramatic impacts on students’ education and careers.
