Louisville Post 914 Freebirds With Tough Game Against Eldorado Post 169 Jr Legion for the first 24th District Tournament Game.

Louisville Post 914 Freebirds had trouble keeping up with Eldorado Post 169 Jr Legion in a 13-4 loss on Monday.

A fly out by Andrew Horseman put Eldorado Post 169 Jr Legion on the board in the top of the third.

Louisville Post 914 Freebirds captured the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the third after Eldorado Post 169 Jr Legion committed an error, and Liam Eskew doubled to center field, each scoring one run.

Eldorado Post 169 Jr Legion jumped back into the lead in the top of the fourth inning after Asher Wood singled down the left field line, and Louisville Post 914 Freebirds committed an error, each scoring one run.

Louisville Post 914 Freebirds took the lead in the bottom of the fourth. Keegan Black homered to center field, scoring two runs, to give Louisville Post 914 Freebirds the upper hand, 4-3.

Karson Baseden singled to left field, which helped Eldorado Post 169 Jr Legion tie the game at four in the top of the fifth.

Eldorado Post 169 Jr Legion flipped the game on its head in the top of the sixth, scoring six runs on one hit to take the lead, 10-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a fielder's choice by Bowen Schultz that drove in two.

Clayton Snell stepped on the mound first for Louisville Post 914 Freebirds. The starting pitcher gave up six hits and four runs (one earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out two and walking none. Easton Cummins stepped on the bump first for Eldorado Post 169 Jr Legion. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and four runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking five.

Black led Louisville Post 914 Freebirds with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Eskew led Louisville Post 914 Freebirds with two hits in three at bats. Eskew stole two bases.

Eldorado Post 169 Jr Legion tallied 11 hits in the game. Jax Roberts went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Eldorado Post 169 Jr Legion in hits. Schultz stole two bases.

Next Tournament game is at Carrier Mills on Friday.

First District Tournament is at home tonight at 6:00-8:00 in Louisville at the Park.

Players from both teams will receive a drink and snack courtesy of American Patriot Restoration.

This will be the last game at home this year. Looking forward to seeing everyone out there.
