The Louisville Metro Corrections Foundation extends our deepest condolences to our partners at LMPD as they mourn the passing of Lt. Nick Dewees. His courage, commitment, and service to this community will not be forgotten.

We hold his family, friends, and the entire LMPD family in our thoughts during this difficult time. 💙🖤

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Lieutenant Nick Dewees after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.

Lt. Dewees served the Louisville Metro Police Department with honor and dedication since February 2013. His commitment to this community and his fellow officers was unwavering, and his impact will be felt for years to come.

Please keep his family, friends, and colleagues in your thoughts during this difficult time. Funeral arrangements are pending and will be shared as soon as they are available.

Thank you for joining us in remembering and honoring Lt. Dewees for his service and sacrifice.
