UL Free Store

UL Free Store Like a thrift store, but everything is free in Honors House 108! Donate in red bins at Garden Commons by Baptist Center. Reuse, reuse, reuse!

Clothing, shoes, household items, accessories, bath/beauty/cleaning/art/office supplies, small appliances & electronics, etc. The UofL Free Store in SAC W303C is open to students, faculty, and staff of the University of Louisville as a space for the free exchange of useful items. Imagine a thrift store where no money is exchanged. The store accepts donations from anyone, which can be dropped off d

uring store hours or at any time in the large red outdoor bin at the Garden Commons, next to the Baptist Center. Clothing, shoes, accessories, electronics, small appliances, household items, bath & beauty supplies, books, school & art supplies, and more. This is a student-led zero waste effort run by students and volunteers with support of the UofL Sustainability Council. The Store was originally opened in 2013 by an RSO known as GRASS (Group Recycling and Sustainable Solutions). UofL promotes an inclusive environment for all, regardless of gender identity and/or gender expression. The Free Store is a Transgender-Friendly space.

Don't send your old electronics to the landfill! As a part of UofL's Ecolympics 2026 E-Waste Recycling Drive, there will be a special Drive-up Drop-off Collection on Thursday Feb. 26th, 8am-11am on the north side of the Clinical & Translational Research Building at HSC. Due to rain, this year we will be loading items into the box truck for recycling at the CTR Loading Dock (618 E Muhammad Ali Blvd). The contact for the Drive-up Drop-off is Skip Hurley (502) 599-6228.
Stop by to drop off any of the following types of electronics for recycling: all computers, monitors, televisions, printers, copiers, scanners, servers, networking equipment, fax machines, telephones and cellphones, RAM/memory, hard drives, battery backups, and peripherals such as keyboards, mice, speakers, AC adapters, and mixed computer cables/wires.
We also have E-waste collection points set up in the following locations Feb. 18 - March 13:
BAB (1st floor lobby)
SAC W310
Duthie Center at Speed School of Engineering (1st floor Study Area, SE corner)
HSC Kornhauser Library (1st floor lobby behind elevators)

FROM : Alright, Louisville! You asked, and we're delivering. Repair Fair 2025 was such a hit that we've decided to offer it again - March 7, 2026 at Molly Leonard Portland Community Center. But we can't do this without you! We need handy volunteers to help us pull this off. Can you fix a hem? A toaster? Greet people? Fill out this form to be contacted by an event organizer today!
