If you are in need of a quality German shepherd dog, look up the wonderful folks at Bluegrass Country German Shepherds. They are local to us here at lights and sirens outdoors. They train and raise service animals. They offer military, veteran and first responders discounts. This is another company that’s giving back to first responders and mental health! Please feel free to look them up or give Teresa or Paul a call!

🚑💙 Happy EMS Week! 💙🚑

This week, Lights and Sirens Outdoors wants to recognize and thank all EMS professionals for the incredible work you do every single day. Your courage, compassion, and dedication never go unnoticed.

You are the calm in the chaos, the helping hand in someone’s worst moment, and the reason so many people make it home safely. Thank you for answering the call—day or night—and for always putting others before yourselves.

From all of us at Lights and Sirens Outdoors, we appreciate you and everything you do for our communities.

WE CARE. WE SERVE. WE SAVE LIVES. ❤️🚨

Mental health matters every day, but Mental Health Awareness Month is a reminder that nobody has to fight their battles alone. Whether you’re police, fire, EMS, military, or just someone trying to make it through the day , your mental health matters too.

Check on your people. Have the hard conversations. Reach out when things feel heavy. Strength isn’t staying silent. 💚

If you or someone you know is struggling:
• Call or text 988 — Su***de & Crisis Lifeline
• Veterans Crisis Line: Dial 988 (tel:988) then Press 1
• First Responder Support Line: 1-888-731-3473 (tel:1-888-731-3473)

And remember — Lights and Sirens Outdoors is here for you too. You are never alone.

Lights and Sirens Outdoors was honored to host a turkey hunt for first responders, bringing together a police officer from Western Kentucky, a firefighter from Iowa, and a military service member from Maryland.

While we didn’t get on any turkeys, we still enjoyed hearing them gobble and seeing plenty of signs in the woods. Trips like this are about more than the hunt—they’re about stepping away, clearing your mind, and supporting mental health in the outdoors.

A huge thank you to Tina and Justin with Beaver Creek Outfitters for guiding and making this opportunity possible. We also want to thank Satties for donating TSS and lead loads, Krispy Kreme for the donuts, purnells old folk sausage, Ben for the turkey cookies, Fackler Family Farms for the generous donation of meat, and Thomas Howard for donating the pot call.

It’s not just about hunting—it’s about friendships, memories, and taking care of those who take care of others.
