🍽️🐾 BREAKFAST WITH BENNY! 🐾🍽️

Some cats wake up and ask, “What are we doing today?”

Benny wakes up and asks, “WHERE’S MY FOOD?” 😂

This boy takes breakfast VERY seriously. ❤️🐱

And here’s a little reminder for the humans: regular feeding routines can help cats feel secure and can make it easier to notice changes in their appetite. If a cat suddenly stops eating or eats much less than normal, that’s something worth paying attention to.

But today? Benny has absolutely no complaints. 😂

Breakfast: 10/10
Appetite: 100/10
Cuteness: Off the charts.

🐾💊 KIKIPAWS PROJECT EDUCATIONAL POST: VIRALYS & CAT HERPESVIRUS 💊🐾

Did you know that Viralys (L-lysine) is commonly used as a nutritional supplement for cats, particularly those dealing with feline herpesvirus (FHV-1)? 🐱

Feline herpesvirus can cause symptoms such as sneezing, congestion, watery or irritated eyes, and upper respiratory issues. It can be especially difficult for cats who are stressed, immunocompromised, or living in multi-cat environments.

Viralys contains L-lysine and is used as a supplement to support cats who may be dealing with recurring herpesvirus-related symptoms. However, it’s important to remember that supplements aren't a replacement for veterinary care. If a cat is sick, struggling to breathe, not eating, or has severe eye symptoms, they need to be evaluated by a veterinarian. ❤️

At KikiPaws Project, we’re constantly working to provide the cats in our care with the food, supplements, supplies, and medical support they need. Every little bit helps us continue doing what we do. 🐾

🐾❤️ KIKIPAWS PROJECT NEEDS YOUR HELP ❤️🐾

These community cats need us now more than ever. They have no voice, and they have nowhere else to turn. We cannot stand by while people continue dumping or relocating cats into parks, woods, and unfamiliar areas where they may not survive.

We are committed to protecting them right here where they know they are safe. All of these cats are TNR’d, and we are working to provide them with a permanent, secure place where they can live without fear.

We have already committed a shed as their shelter, and we plan to make it comfortable with A/C during the summer and heat during the winter. ❤️

Now we urgently need funds to build a secure fence and install cat netting around their safe area. This will help keep them protected from traffic, predators, and people who may try to hurt or remove them.

We are also working toward making KikiPaws Project an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which will allow us to grow our mission and help even more community cats.

🐾🎆 4th of July Pet Safety Reminder 🎆🐾
While we celebrate Independence Day, our pets may be experiencing one of the most stressful nights of the year.
Loud fireworks can cause fear, panic, and even life-threatening situations if a frightened pet escapes.
Here are a few ways to help keep your furry family members safe: 🏡 Keep pets indoors before fireworks begin. 🛏️ Create a quiet, comfortable room with their favorite blankets and toys. 🎵 Turn on a TV, fan, or calming music to help mask loud noises. 🏷️ Make sure collars, ID tags, and microchip information are up to date. ❤️ Stay with your pets if you canthey often feel safer when you're nearby. 🚪 Double check doors, gates, and windows to prevent accidental escapes.
Every year, animal shelters see an increase in lost pets after the 4th of July. A little preparation today can save lives tomorrow.

These two are enjoying one of their favorite hangout spots, and moments like this remind us why we do what we do. ❤️

Right now, The KikiPaws Project is working hard to improve our sanctuary. Every donation goes directly toward creating a safer, more enriching environment with climbing shelves, cozy spaces, toys, better enclosures, and everything our cats need to thrive not just survive.

Meet pookie. 🐈

He doesn't know what bankruptcy is.
He doesn't know what stress is.
He just knows that every morning he waits for breakfast and trusts that someone will show up.

That's us.

Every day we feed, clean, and care for our cats because they depend on us. We don't have a big rescue, paid staff, or corporate sponsors. It's just two people doing everything we can.

Today we're asking for help with one simple goal:

🐾 $15 buys litter.
🐾 Even $5 helps keep bowls full.
