🌱💚 Nemo & Isaiah Are Back to Work! Lawn #8! 💚🌱

After a little break, my boys are back at it with Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Services! 🏡💪🏾

Life has definitely been LIFE-ING lately! 😅 Between work, school, sports, illness, busy schedules, and everything else life throws our way, we had to put their lawn care journey on pause for a bit. But today, Nemo & Isaiah picked those lawn mowers back up and kept going! 🙌🏾

As their mom, I remind myself that this journey isn't about how quickly they can reach 50 lawns.
There is no race and no deadline. 🌿 It's about allowing them to enjoy the journey, develop a heart for service, learn responsibility, and understand how rewarding it can be to simply give back and help someone in need. 💚

And today was the perfect reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things along the way. 💚 In the middle of working, Isaiah spotted a little roly-poly 🐛 and stopped what he was doing just long enough to admire it. I loved watching him take a moment to appreciate the simple beauty of nature. Sometimes the best parts of the journey are those tiny moments we could easily rush right past. 🌿✨

Today was officially Lawn #8! 🎉 Nemo & Isaiah had the opportunity to help Mr. Dan & Mrs. Shelli by cutting their front lawn.

Thank you for being a blessing by giving my boys the opportunity to be of service to you and for welcoming them with such kindness and hospitality. And of course, the boys were VERY appreciative of that nice, cold Gatorade after a job well done! 😂🥤💙

As a mom, I'm proud—not because of how many lawns they've completed, but because they're continuing to show up, serve others, and learn that even a small act of kindness can make a difference.

Today, Nemo and Isaiah took on Lawn #7 for Ms. Mariah, a hardworking single mom. What started as a simple service project quickly turned into a valuable life lesson. The boys may have bitten off a little more than they could chew, but sometimes the greatest lessons come from the biggest challenges.

As they tackled the yard, they learned the importance of mowing high grass in stages rather than trying to cut it all at once. Through trial and error, they discovered that gradually stepping the mower height down not only produces a better cut but also prevents unnecessary strain on the equipment.

Unfortunately, the high grass took more battery power than expected, and eventually the electric lawnmower ran out of charge before the job could be completed. While they were unable to finish the backyard today, they didn't view it as a failure. Instead, they saw it as an opportunity to learn, adapt, and come back better prepared.

Life is full of trial and error. Every challenge teaches us something new, and every setback gives us a chance to grow. Nemo and Isaiah learned that planning, patience, and persistence are just as important as hard work. They are committed to seeing the job through and will return to finish Ms. Mariah's backyard.

Today wasn't just about mowing a lawn—it was about learning responsibility, problem-solving, and the value of keeping your word. Also look at Nemos play on 6-7 after completing the 7th yard. 😂🤣😂🤣

The backyard is massive. Nemo did a fantastic job. We were losing daylight. Now that we have a w**d trimmer, we will tackle the fence line for another day.

Today, Nemo truly held down the fort! Taking on Lawn #6! 🤩 While little bro Isaiah is on the mend and continuing to recover to get better, nothing could stop him from stepping up to assist in caring for his mom’s lawn. Watching him take initiative and lend a helping hand reminds me that service starts at home.

Being a single mom is no easy feat. We wear countless hats every single day—caregiver, chauffeur, scheduler, cheerleader, nurse, teacher, counselor, and provider. From juggling appointments, sports practices and games, daily summer camp drop-offs, and everything in between, the role of "Mom" never really stops. Sometimes tasks like caring for the house or maintaining the lawn get pushed to the back burner, especially for a single parent doing their best to keep all the balls in the air.

That's why I am incredibly proud of my sons and the journey they are embarking through Raising Men and Women Lawn Care Services. Not only are they learning responsibility and hard work, but they are also learning the importance of serving others and making a difference in their community. Today, Nemo showed that helping others doesn't always mean looking far away—but that it can start right at home by helping those who care for us every day.

Way to go, Nemo! Your willingness to serve, your compassion, and your heart for helping others make this mama proud! 😍🥰😘
