Health care coverage should give people security, not keep them trapped in jobs they want to leave.

A Gallup poll found that 24% of U.S. workers with employer-sponsored coverage report staying in their current job because they are afraid of losing health insurance.

The Asclepius Initiative believes health care coverage should be guaranteed and continuous from birth until death, regardless of where someone works.

Preventive services can help prevent or detect health problems before they become more serious.

Health care coverage should make it easier to get care, not harder.

Too often, people have to navigate forms, deadlines, eligibility rules, and confusing systems just to stay covered. A better system would make coverage simple, stable, and there when people need it.

TAI works to help people navigate the system we have today, while building support for one that makes us healthier, less stressed, and more financially secure.

No one should lose health care coverage while being treated for cancer. With universal, continuous coverage from birth until death, people would not face gaps like this. TAI is working to build support for a system where everyone can count on being covered when they need care most.

She was featured in UofL's ads. But after United Healthcare dropped her insurance, she couldn't afford the out-of-pocket cost of life-saving medication. Then, her appointments were canceled. 🔽

You should not need to be an expert to make sense of health care coverage, but that’s where we are.

TAI provides clear, practical information to help you ask necessary questions, compare your options, and make more informed decisions about your costs and care.

TAI’s resources are designed to help you use the system we have today, while we work to build support for a better one that provides continuous, secure coverage from birth until death.

Small businesses that offer health insurance to their employees could see health costs rise in 2027, according to our new analysis of preliminary rate filings from all 50 states and DC.

Nearly 300 insurers offering small group coverage reported a median proposed premium increase of 14% for next year. Small group insurers say rising medical prices, including for hospitalizations, physician care, and prescription drugs, and increased utilization are major drivers of the premium increases.
