🍂 Samhain Gathering | Facilitator Spotlight 🍂

We are excited to announce our first facilitator spotlight for the upcoming 4th Annual Samhain Gathering at Buck Creek Sanctuary on November 7th!

✨ Introducing Jessica Rose ✨

An intuitive author, teacher, oracle, witch, and death doula, Jessica bridges the space between the seen and unseen, the known and unknown, and what has been and what is yet to come.

Drawing from her multicultural background, Jessica weaves together tarot, connection with nature, and ancestral work to offer clarity and insight into each person's unique journey.

Her practice centers around holding space for healing and renewal, honoring the sacred cycles of life, death, and rebirth while offering guidance through shadow work.

🔮 Tarot & Oracle Readings with Jessica Rose

Throughout the gathering, Jessica will be offering tarot and oracle readings as tools for reflection, connection, and divination. Her readings invite participants to explore the messages of spirit, gain clarity, and connect more deeply with the season of life they are currently navigating.

We are excited to have Jessica joining us this year and encourage you to stop by, connect with her, and experience a reading during the gathering!

🎟️ Tickets are available through the link in the comments below!

We look forward to gathering with you all soon! 🍂

For as long as we have been human, we have gathered.

Around fires for warmth and protection. To share food, stories, songs, and knowledge. To celebrate life, mourn death, mark the changing seasons, honor our ancestors, and make meaning of being alive.

Long before gathering was something we had to make time for, it was simply part of being human.

There is power in coming together with shared intention. It is through ceremony that we give that intention a place to live, creating space to slow down, be present, and turn what we carry individually into something we can hold together.

Across generations, children learn by being present, elders carry stories forward, friends become family, and wisdom passes not only through words, but through experience.

These are some of the oldest ways we have learned to belong.

In a world increasingly lived behind screens, separated from the land and one another, gathering feels more important than ever.

We gather not simply to attend, but to participate. To create community together. To remember that we belong to one another, to the Earth, and to a story that began long before us and will continue long after we are gone.

This is why we gather. 🕯️

💚 Give for Good Louisville 💚

Growing Home is honored to call Buck Creek Sanctuary one of the homes of our community.

Over the years, this beautiful land has opened its doors to us and given us space to gather, celebrate the changing seasons, learn from one another, deepen our relationship with the natural world, and continue growing this community together.

Today, we have an opportunity to give some of that love back.

Buck Creek Sanctuary is participating in Give for Good Louisville, and we are inviting our Growing Home community to support them if you have the means to do so.

Buck Creek is a 58-acre sanctuary dedicated to connecting people with nature through education, forest immersion, foraging, native and medicinal plant knowledge, and community-centered experiences. Supporting their campaign helps them continue caring for this land while expanding the opportunities they are able to offer to the community.

Every contribution matters. Whether you are able to give $5, $20, $50, or simply share their campaign with someone who believes in their mission, it all helps.

We are deeply grateful for the spaces that allow communities like ours to take root. Supporting Buck Creek Sanctuary is one way we can help ensure that this land continues to be a place where people can gather, learn, reconnect, and grow for years to come.

Thank you, Buck Creek Sanctuary, for continuing to welcome Growing Home with open arms. We are grateful to grow alongside you.

Donate through their Give for Good campaign in the comments.

With love,
Growing Home Collective 🌻

4th Annual Samhain Gathering

We are so honored to announce that Growing Home is returning to Buck Creek Sanctuary for our 4th Annual Samhain Gathering.

Once again, we will return to this land to gather in community, honor the turning of the wheel, and remember.

Samhain invites us to pause at the threshold of the darker season. To honor the cycles of life, death, rest, and renewal reflected in the natural world and within ourselves. Most importantly, it gives us space to remember those who came before us. The lives, stories, wisdom, and love that made it possible for us to be here now.

Year after year, we have watched this gathering grow alongside the community that brings it to life. Musicians, artists, facilitators, volunteers, families, friends, and new faces all contribute something different to the experience. That is at the heart of Growing Home. We come together with different gifts, perspectives, generations, and ways of knowing to create something none of us could create alone.

We are deeply grateful to return to Buck Creek Sanctuary, a place that has held so much of the story of Growing Home. Beneath the autumn trees, around the fire, and alongside the creek, we will once again make space for connection with the land, with one another, and with the mystery that reminds us there is always more to remember.

Our volunteer portals will be opening soon. If you feel called to contribute in any way. Through your hands, your art, your knowledge, your time, or another offering, Please reach out to us. These gatherings are built through community, and there are many ways to find your place within them.

🔥 Early Bird tickets are available through September 22nd, while supplies last. (Link in the comments)

We are looking forward to another year of gathering across generations, tending the sacred together, and honoring those whose footsteps made way for our own.

We are blessed to share another Samhain with you all. 🕯️

Hey y'all! Checking in with some exciting news.

This October, I'm moderating a panel discussion at the inaugural .af conference in Austin (October 16 to 19). Four days of real conversations and food that cut through all the wellness noise. It's a Women-founded nonprofit, and built to deliver evidence-backed answers to the real questions women have about nutrition, hormones, mental health, and more.

WellAF is sponsoring creators to be there through two fellowships:
- New grads who are just getting started, including trade school, certifications, and nontraditional paths.
- Mom creators building something big while raising a family.

Ten spots each, 20 total, for fellows to attend all expenses paid, plus a $2,000 stipend. But, you must apply by August 31 to be considered.

And, if you're reading this thinking you're not ready, or not "enough", you got this! Just Apply.

Wishing everyone a blessed Beltane, from the Growing Home collective and may the fires ignite all your passions ready to be birthed.

It’s been beautiful to take the time to fully integrate the experience and reflect on how wonderful last weekend was at our third annual Beltane Gathering at Buck Creek Sanctuary.

From the community we created to the moments we shared, we feel deep gratitude for every part of it.

A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers, artists, facilitators, musicians, and craftspeople—we truly couldn’t do this without you. The week leading up held a few uncertainties around weather and small details, yet we stayed rooted in trust. After months of care and preparation, we knew it would come together in the way it was meant to.

We had a wonderful Maypole parade with live music from Jim and friends and enjoyed music in the evening from Brandon IntuAtune Hilditch, Ben Short, & Devon Snell

We cherish showcasing a wide variety of art and experiences at our events. A special shout-out to our installation artists Beige Price, Grace Herrmann, Tara Midkiff. Thank you for all the work you put into your pieces! We want our gatherings to engage every sense, and this one truly did. We deeply enjoyed Rachelle’s sound in the sacred circle and Eric Moore LAc who offered acupuncture in the woods Saturday morning. We are so grateful to have offerings that support restoration and a deeper sense of well-being.

And a special thank you to Danielle West (Moonpie) for bridging the region’s intentional communities in her workshop, helping us continue exploring the deeper layers of connection and shared purpose.

We at Growing Home appreciate community showing up for community. Each gathering is an opportunity to keep building something resilient together—rooted in care, creativity, and a shared vision for what’s possible.

Overall, thank you to everyone who continues to show up and take part in this collective dream we’re weaving.

This was our eighth event overall and our sixth at Buck Creek Sanctuary, and it’s been a humbling experience producing these gatherings over the years.

We look forward with excitement to when we gather again. 🌱

Blessed Beltane! 🔥

🌸 Facilitator Spotlight 🌸

We’re excited to welcome Sophia Cahill & Valarie Thompson to this year’s Beltane Gathering at Buck Creek Sanctuary.

🎨 Facepainting

Sophia and Valarie have been friends since the eighth grade. Since then they have both shared a love for all forms of arts and crafts. They have often painted and crafted together (they have many unfinished projects lol). Valarie and Sophia both have cats and a dog each and have a love for plants and wildlife. When the two hangout they usually get coffee (or tea), perhaps do nails (Valarie is very talented in this hobbie), and usually just hang. They both look forward to the opportunity to meet new people and paint theirs faces at such an exciting event.

You are invited to join the celebration by bringing your family and friends, exploring volunteer opportunities, or securing your entry through the link below.

In the spirit of reverence, we gather to honor the turning of the season and the sacred threads that connect us.

We’re honored to welcome Ken Kleiber, the land steward at Buck Creek Sanctuary, to this year’s Beltane Gathering.

🌿 Connecting to the Beauty of Buck Creek Sanctuary

We will immerse ourselves in the beauty of spring at Buck Creek Sanctuary. Which will include identifying the spring ephemerals and wildflowers, forging the emerging herbs, like spicebush, and wood mint. Experiencing a Sassafras tea ceremony. And having a wander to connect with nature in your own special way.

Ken Kleiber LMT has been practicing massage therapy since 1998. Over the years, Ken has studied a wide range of healing practices. He is a Certified Havening Practitioner, Reiki Master Teacher, and an Authentic Ta**ra Practitioner. Additionally, Ken is the founder and steward of Buck Creek Sanctuary, a space dedicated to the belief that humans are inherently part of nature and that healing is interconnected with this relationship.

Ken is dedicated to honoring the sacred in all aspects of life. He is committed to personal growth, building community and contributing to the healing of the planet.

You are invited to join the celebration by bringing your family and friends, exploring volunteer opportunities, or by securing your entry through the link below.
