We finally made it, y’all! 🎉🩷 Our Content Collective youth are bringing RUSSELL VOICES to the community!

These young creators learned workforce skills, digital media, storytelling and conflict resolution while capturing the positive stories happening in Russell. This is violence prevention through mentorship, creativity and opportunity.

Special thanks to the Office of Violence Prevention and Councilman Ken Herndon office through the District 4 Life skills & Workforce Development Initiative for supporting this work and helping our young people bring Russell Voices to life. 💙

Now, their work is taking over the INSIDE of a TARC Transit Authority Of River City - bus for four weeks! Riders can scan QR codes to hear their stories, view their profiles and learn more about the program and Russell Voices

Wyandotte Seniors — We Want to Help! 💚

Through our CRISP Wyandotte Youth Workforce Program, we’re offering a limited number of FREE yard-service visits for Wyandotte residents ages 65+.

Services may include:
• Grass cutting
• Leaf removal
• Edging/trimming
• Light yard cleanup
• Basic w**d removal

📅 Service period: October 10–November 7, 2026
🗓️ Primary service days: Saturdays
🏡 Eligibility: Wyandotte residents age 65+
✅ Selected households may receive up to 2 service visits

This is a youth workforce and community-service project, so space is limited and submitting a request does not guarantee service.

50/50 Mentoring Collaborative is excited to introduce C.R.I.S.P. Wyandotte—a five-week paid career-readiness and beautification program for youth and young adults ages 16–24!

📅 October 6–November 7, 2026
⏰ 15 hours per week
💵 Earn a $150 weekly stipend by meeting attendance and participation requirements
🌟 Only 10 spots available!

Participants will help create a community mural, learn lawn care and landscaping skills, serve neighborhood seniors, and build confidence through conflict resolution, teamwork, and leadership training.
A heartfelt thank-you to Louisville Metro Council for believing in workforce programs and investing in opportunities for our young people. We appreciate the support of Districts 3, 6, 9, 14, 15, and 21 through Neighborhood Development Funds.
