While moving his family to the MS Territory, Thomas Meredith was murdered. The family did journey on to Amite County, MS.
Thomas Meredith's son, James Meredith & his wife, Mary Ann Faust would become one of the founding families of Caldwell Parish, LA.
Our member, Rebecca Hunt, is the 6th great granddaughter of Lt Thomas Meredith.

We rank #1 in the number of "Junior" members in the LSDAR. There are currently 184 Juniors in the LSDAR; D'Arbonne Chapter has 16 Juniors.

Keep up the good work bringing your daughters, granddaughters and great granddaughters into the DAR! It is so wonderful to see how many 2, 3 and 4 generations of family members we have in our chapter.

AMERICA 250!

*A Junior DAR member is a woman aged 18 to 35 years who holds full membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Junior members have the same responsibilities and privileges as regular members and may serve as officers or committee chairs at the chapter, state, and national levels. They actively participate in meetings, volunteer on committees, and engage in various DAR activities, fostering friendships and personal growth while promoting the organization's mission.
