Great ministry opportunity!

If you read the book of Job as a problem to be solved, you'll be frustrated. The book doesn't solve the problem of suffering. It doesn't answer the question of why innocent people suffer. It doesn't provide a theological framework that makes sense of catastrophic loss.

If you read the book of Job as a road to be traveled, something different happens. You follow a man from orientation through the most catastrophic disorientation imaginable, and you watch what happens to him on the other side. Not what arguments he made, not what theological conclusions he reached, but what happened to him — what the journey through the hard place actually did to a human being who refused to take the shortcut.

And at the end of that road, there's a single sentence that I believe contains more wisdom about grief than most books written on the subject.

'My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you.' (Job 42:5)

That's the hinge. That's the whole thing.

If your church voted you out or pressured you to resign, you're not alone — and you're not finished. Here's what the Bible actually says to pastors navigating forced termination and ministry loss.

A grief prayer tucked inside a genealogy nobody reads — and why it matters if you're in the wilderness right now.

If you’ve ever sat in church carrying something nobody around you could see — this is for you.
Grief doesn’t always come from a funeral.
Sometimes it’s a slow goodbye to a parent with dementia.
Sometimes it’s the faith you used to have before the prayer went unanswered.
Sometimes it’s a loss layered on a loss layered on a loss, with no room in between to breathe.
The Universal Loss Assessment names what you’re carrying in 9 questions. 3 minutes. Free. Private.
You’ll land in one of seven loss profiles grounded in real research and pastoral experience — and you’ll get a resource path built for your specific kind of loss. Not a generic “grief takes time” speech.
Whether you’re in acute loss, anticipatory grief, caregiver exhaustion, or wrestling with God Himself — there’s a next step that fits.
