The Community House On Broadway

The Community House on Broadway is a nonprofit clean and sober homeless shelter. We are a clean and sober homeless recovery shelter.

Our goal is to help families and individuals overcome the causes of homelessness and become self-sufficient! Two locations in Longview:

Temporary and transitional housing
Safe, clean environment
Regular meals, emergency clothing, personal items
Professional case management
Ment

Recovery from substance use disorder

"When I was asked to join the Community House board, I knew I also wanted to volunteer with the youth programs. As a retired teacher, tutoring felt like the perfect fit.

My initial focus with every student is to establish a trusting relationship and offer steady encouragement as we work together to master concepts. These children often lack family stability, and trying to make a difference for them enriches my life tremendously. If my efforts make life just a little easier for even one student, I would feel truly blessed.

If you are a retired educator, please consider tutoring at Community House/Beth's Place. It is challenging work, but incredibly rewarding.”🤍🤍🤍

🐿️ Squirrel Fest 2026! 💛

This past Saturday, a few residents from Community House on Broadway along with staff, volunteered their time at the annual Squirrel Fest in Longview put on by the awesome group at Rotary Club of Longview Washington

We had a blast giving back, making memories, enjoying the community, and celebrating Longview’s beloved squirrel mascot! 🐿️🎉💛

We can’t wait for next year! 🐿️✨

Some beautiful moments from the Walden Island Tea! 💕

This year’s event was truly special as we celebrated an incredible milestone and honored KC Babcock with a Generosity & Kindness Award for more than 35 years of dedicated service to Community House.

It was a beautiful afternoon filled with friendship, gratitude, and generosity—all while raising funds to support Beth’s Place. Most importantly, it was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate KC and the lasting impact of her kindness and commitment to our community.

With this year’s theme, “I’ve Had the Time of My Life,” it’s safe to say we did! 💐✨

A huge THANK YOU to Haven 360 for giving back to our youth at Beth’s Place! ❤️✂️

Haven 360 generously provided free haircuts to the young people staying at Beth’s Place as they get ready to head back to school. What a meaningful way to help our youth start the school year feeling confident, cared for, and ready to take on a new year! 🎒📚✨

Beth’s Place provides shelter and support for homeless and unaccompanied youth, and community partners like Haven 360 make such a difference in the lives of the young people we serve.

A Beth's Place graduate is getting ready to start an exciting new chapter by attending lineman school in Montana. Unfortunately, just two weeks before he leaves, his car's engine blew, leaving him without reliable transportation.

We're reaching out to our amazing community to see if anyone has a dependable vehicle they would be willing to donate. This gift would help him get to school and start building a brighter future.

Today is a bittersweet day as we celebrate David’s (name changed for confidentiality) successful transition from Beth’s Place to Community House! 🎉

During his time with us, David built meaningful friendships, strengthened his support system, and worked toward employment with the help of his team.

Although his stay was brief, he made a lasting impact. We’re honored to have been part of his journey and excited to see him continue building independence and a brighter future.

Thank you to everyone who helps create safe spaces where young people can heal, grow, and thrive. 💙
