One spark is all it takes to start a wildfire. Learning how to avoid fire risks can help prevent the next burn. 📓🔥

Many wildfires are human-caused. Ci******es, fireworks, campfires, and equipment can all become dangerous fire starters in dry, windy conditions. 🪵

🚩 When a Red Flag Warning or fire restriction is issued, take it seriously. Follow the rules, avoid unnecessary fire risks, and help prevent the next wildfire.

Be prepared with your way out when wildfires happen. Register at HorseAlert.org before you need it. 🐴🧡

HorseAlert.org is more than a website. It’s a sophisticated emergency response system built to help horses get to safety when every minute counts. 🔥

The technology powers HorseAlert, but the people power the response. 🔌🧡

HorseAlert works because horse owners prepare ahead of time and volunteer drivers step up when their community needs them. Every horse registered and every driver who joins makes the network stronger.

Together, we’re building a safer future for Colorado’s horses 🐴 Thank you for being a part.

THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS! 🚚🐴🔥

HorseAlert has gained 100 new volunteer trailer drivers in less than two months. As wildfires continue to rage in Colorado, our equine community has remained strong. You have all proved that by having eachothers’ backs, we can keep horses, and their owners, safe.

The work isn’t done yet! If you have a trailer, consider signing up as a volunteer driver to help evacuate horses to safety. If you are a horse owner, register your horses to make sure you have a plan in place.

Stay safe Colorado & thank you 🧡🫂✨

Thank you Governor Jared Polis for sharing HorseAlert.org. HorseAlert is a FREE community-powered website that connects trailer drivers to horse owners during natural disaster evacuations. 🧡

Families affected by these fires not only have to think about keeping themselves safe, but also making sure their animals can get out safely. HorseAlert helps connect horses, donkeys and mule owners with volunteer trailer drivers when evacuation orders are issued. Another example of Coloradans stepping up and helping each other out in this time of need.
