Association for Community Living (ACL) The ACL, The Arc of Boulder & Broomfield, advocates with people with IDD through individual, group, systems & community advocacy.

We help individuals navigate systems & barriers to build inclusive communities where people with IDD are valued & welcomed. The ACL, in partnership with the state and national Arc federation, exists to ensure these rights are protected by providing advocacy, support and educational services to people with intellectual/ developmental disabilities (I/DD), their families and the community that promote independence, health, safety, and full community participation.

From Colorado Cross Disability Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition

Dear Community,
We've extended the deadline to apply for the 2026 Teen Life Conference (TLC)! TLC is a statewide, youth-led healthcare conference in Colorado designed to empower high school students to learn, lead, and shape conversations about the issues that impact their lives! All Colorado teens are encouraged to apply, regardless of whether or not they have a disability.

TLC will bring seventy teens and seventy adult leaders in Colorado healthcare to Denver for a one-day event on Saturday, June 20th. Through interactive workshops, meaningful dialogue with healthcare professionals, and leadership development opportunities, TLC will equip Colorado teens with the knowledge, resources, and confidence to navigate the healthcare system, explore healthcare career pathways, and advocate for themselves and their communities.

TLC is a free, pre-registered event with travel and lodging scholarships available for individuals traveling over two hours to the conference.

Built on the principle โ€œby teens, for teens,โ€ TLC is shaped by a Teen Advisory Committee of five Colorado teen leaders. TLC is a joint initiative of CCDC, Colorado Access, Rocky Mountain Health Plans, Northeast Health Partners, Colorado Community Health Alliance, with support from University of Colorado Anschutz, COLOR Latina, Children's Hospital Colorado, and more.

To get involved, we are inviting:

High-school aged students to apply to be a TLC Teen Attendee
Healthcare leaders, professionals, and community members to submit workshop proposals
Learn more and apply HERE: https://linktr.ee/teenlifeconference. Applications open until next Tuesday, May 26th. Please help spread the word by sharing this with your networks and any teens who would be interested in getting involved.
