Even if you don’t plan to enter your quilts into competition, Eileen Crawford’s Zoom presentation “What Judges Are Looking For In Your Quilts” was packed with helpful information about improving our quilting results. Eileen shared her journey from 4-H all the way to being a Quilt Judge, noting that originality is always a key factor for winning quilts. Overall, her goals are to celebrate and encourage quilters. Last night was also our annual presentation of Pink Quilts, this year to seven courageous women who are in various stages of dealing with breast cancer. Their collective message to us: “Ladies, get your mammograms!”

This weekend I had the honor of selling tickets for our Guild’s Raffle Quilt, “Colorado Beauty.” Looking closely, I realized the pictures I’ve seen just don’t do it justice. So I took a few closeups. Original design, masterful hand applique, and custom quilting make this 79” x 85 ½” quilt a showstopper. Raffle tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. Get tickets through any Guild member or [email protected]." rel="ugc" target="_blank">[email protected]. The winning ticket will be drawn on December 8, 2026.
