The LB Pump Track committee is advocating for a Pump Track in our city—a versatile, all-ages recreational space where cyclists, skateboarders, roller skaters, wheelchair users, and scooter riders of all skill levels can experience the thrill of riding.

Took a drive from Long Beach out to Flight Deck Pump Track in Moreno Valley… and honestly, it’s a solid setup.

You’ve got:
• A full pump track for riders who want to get after it
• A smaller track that connects in—perfect for building confidence
• A dedicated kids’ area so the little ones have their own space
• Plus a dirt section with jumps if you want to level things up

It’s one of those spots where every skill level has something to ride, which makes it super fun for families and groups.

Only downside? That drive.

Would love to see something like this right here in Long Beach so families, kids, and the community don’t have to spend nearly two hours just to ride.

This is exactly the kind of space that gets people outside, moving, and connected. Let’s bring it home.

Construction is underway for the Port St. Lucie BMX track at Tradition Regional Park, with city officials stating the facility is expected to open in 2026. The BMX track, designed for both competitive riders and families, is a key amenity in the 110-acre park planned to serve the growing Tradition area.

If cities across the country are investing in pump tracks and seeing measurable results… why not Long Beach?

In Joplin, Missouri, the American Ramp Company’s MOmentum Bike Park recorded 25,200+ visits from over 12,000 visitors in just its first two months. That’s real, measurable demand.

Built on 95 acres with 132,000+ square feet of bike park space, it was designed for progression, repeat use, and long-term community value. And now? It’s hosting a 2026 Velosolutions UCI Pump Track Qualifier — one of only four U.S. stops in a 23-city global series leading to the World Championships.

This isn’t just about riding bikes.
It’s about:

• Free, healthy recreation for families
• Safe spaces for kids and teens
• A hub for bikes, scooters, skates, and adaptive riders
• Community events and regional tourism
• Long-term economic and social impact

Long Beach is a city that values outdoor living, youth sports, and active families. We are an Olympic host city. We are a biking community. We drive 30–45 minutes just to use tracks in other cities.

Imagine having that here.

A pump track would create a destination that delivers measurable use, measurable impact, and long-term value for our community.

Long Beach deserves this. Let’s build it.
