Sock The Homeless started off as an idea I had while browsing a website called Reddit. On the website, I read a post stating that socks are the least donated item, while they are also the most requested. Reading this caused me to want to make a difference. Heat from the body can be lost by the body being warmer than the outside environment as well as by touching an object that is colder than itsel

f. A homeless person with bare feet, out in the cold is guaranteed to lose heat regardless of the rest of the clothing he or she is wearing. Socks are also the item that needs to be replaced the most often due to wear and tear. Our goal is not to create a place for homeless to come and get clothing that they need, but to tackle this issue hands on and visiting them. The homeless are people too, and that is something we often forget. They need our help. We need to SOCK THE HOMELESS.
