As our area ramps up for Monterey Car Week, our crews continue with training evolutions, respond to emergencies, and assist with service calls throughout the cities. This week adds additional challenges to our day to day operations with Car Week events as well as several members assigned to assist ongoing fires in Big Sur and in Washington.

Monterey Firefighters are extremely proud to announce that our very own Ross Pounds was elected as California Professional Firefighters 3rd District Vice President at this week’s biennial convention.

DVP Pounds stands ready to take on the challenge of representing 46 different Locals spanning from Monterey to Humboldt County!

We’d also like to congratulate on his election as the next President of CPF. The state organization is in great hands as we work to ensure health, safety, and retirement security for firefighters across our great state.
