We are excited to announce that we have been chosen as a Community Grant recipient from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies!
The Plant-Based Kids Foundation is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization based in Long Beach, CA, that strives to bring plant-based meal options to school menus in Southern California. Currently, the greatest barrier to schools not offering plant-based meals is the perceived low consumption of such meals and thus, nominal government reimbursement. Our organization works with school districts to mitigate this fear by offering its services in three areas: recipe development (curate tasty meals with optimal nutrition and lead focus groups to ensure student approval), marketing (drive excitement and awareness), and the education of the new plant-based options (tap into our network of nutritionists and medical experts).
