Just want to take a moment to shout out a local business. A family reached out to me and asked if we could help them get a new twin sized mattress for their son, who is currently in the hospital having open heart surgery, and doesn't have a good enough bed to come home to, after recovery.
I immediately reached out to Phyllis at The Sleep Station Mattress Store in St. Clair. I explained the situation and asked if there was anything she could do to help us out to get him a new mattress. She had a nice twin mattress in stock, priced at $190.99. She spoke to her husband, and when i went in the next day to purchase it, she told me she wanted to sell it to me for $100.00. She gave us a discount of almost 50%!!!!! All to help a sweet boy recover easier from a life changing surgery.
Our community does amazing things, and this is the exact scenario , where we'd like to see our efforts truly help a child in actual NEED! Yes, we ask for donations for events, and support... but THIS is exactly the kind of stuff you're donating too!! So thank you all so much!
