Shadow has been purchased from the owner!
What started as a simple shelter has turned into numerous animals being rescued from the property.
Shadow will start her training with Adam Black next week in order to be rehomed! Thank you Adam!
To all the volunteers that helped in order to see this through especially Kyle Carter Papas Gonzalez for the continous help in making sure she had feed and water when I couldnt make it out there huge thanks.
To Laura Elizabeth who started all this and gained the trust of the owners family.You did more than almost all the agencies in Madison county to make this happen.
Shadow is a great horse who is really enjoying the daily attention she gets and I can't wait to see her blossom in her new place.Shes going to have some very rough days ahead getting her trained and in a trailer where her emotions will be running high and the goal is not to traumatize her. She turned me from a non horse person to a horse person. I learned that horses are very complex with their personalities and don't even get me started on their digestive system. 😆
The shelter will be donated so that other animals in need can get some use from it.
Lesson learned for me from this rescue is that sometimes kindness does work better than force. Everybody is going through something.
Im sure I've missed some people but its 3 in the morning and trying to get a game plan together to hold shadow still to cut the mudball out of her tail thats dragging the ground today so I apologize if I missed anyone . Fyi I could use some help on the mudball thing since she's not even haltered yet.
Again thanks to all that donated and helped get the animals in a better place.
And for those that said why would you get involved with that old horse I simply look them in the eye and say "Why wouldn't I ?" We will be starting another go fund me for shadows continuing healthcare and feed. Thanks!
