Western Maryland Angel Gown Initiative

Western Maryland Angel Gown Initiative Clothing the "Littlest Angels" on their Journey.......

A strictly volunteer project where donated wedding gowns are recycled into infant burial sets to be freely given to grieving parents. The Initiative will be donating the clothing sets to local hospital OB and NICU Depts and Funeral Homes as well as outreaching facilities. A gown will be provided to those who experience an infant loss, at any stage of pregnancy, stillbirth, preemie and up to including NICU deaths.

Hello all! This is Mindy from She's So Pretty. Diane will be taking a break from this project. She had a house fire over the weekend. I am so thankful that she and her pets were able to get out of the house.
Unfortunately, some of the Angel Gown Project supplies were ruined.
Good news is that we have already given away some of the gowns and pouches that were made.
I also have some completed and almost completed gowns in my sewing studio as well as more supplies. We did also salvage some from her house.
Please send Diane all your good thoughts or prayers. She could use some during this time of rebuilding her life.
If anyone is interested in continuing on working on gowns or pouches, I have supplies I can get you. Please comment or message this FB page and I will get back to you when I can.
I know I am so grateful for all of your and Diane's hard work. And I am so grateful that she and her pets are as okay as they can be right now.

Thanks to all the Angel project volunteers, dress donors and families, staff of the OB, ER,Schwab Cancer Center, and Admin for attending. "1st" Angel Gown

Good afternoon my wonderful volunteers and donors. It is a joy to announce that we have created enough infant gowns to proceed with presentations to the chosen facilities in the Tri-State region. Our first set will be presented to UPMC-WMHS and the hospital staff has set up a Blessing of the Gowns dedication to take place. I received the confirmation from the hospital of the date and time within the last hour.

I would be the over the moon to have all of my dress donors and dedicated volunteers share in this joyous occasion. Without you all this project could not be possible. 10 gowns (5 boys and 5 girls) and 10 pouches will be presented with various honors.

It will be a short 30 minute ceremony located on the second floor of the main hospital. It is scheduled for Tuesday June 30th. I am asking every one able to attend to meet on the first floor near the piano at 3:30pm. The dedication is open to all volunteers, donors and their families.

If you are able to join the celebration please leave a comment that you will be looking forward to attending.
