Suzanna Clark-Nakai, a Create Better Health team member from San Juan County, recently took the National Nutrition Certification Program (NNCP) course through USU Extension. Suzanna had this to say about the program:
"I am so grateful for the opportunity to complete the National Nutrition Certification Program (NNCP). I truly enjoyed the training and appreciated how accessible, organized, and easy to understand it was. The program strengthened my nutrition knowledge, teaching skills, and provided practical tools that I can apply in both my professional work and community outreach.
One of the most valuable lessons I learned was how to better understand and teach nutrition label reading, including serving sizes, calories, nutrients, and making informed food choices. This knowledge has strengthened my ability to help others identify healthier options and support overall wellness.
Thank you to Create Better Health and Utah State University Extension for offering such a meaningful and impactful professional development experience. I am excited to apply what I have learned to continue supporting healthier communities."
