UACD was glad to join partners in Moab for the launch of the Bureau of Land Management’s **All Americans Outside** initiative! 🌄

The initiative is focused on expanding access to public lands and creating more opportunities for people of all abilities to **explore, learn, serve, and work** in the outdoors.

The event also highlighted an exciting investment in the Utah Trail Network that will help create a safer connection between the Colorado River corridor, local trails, and the City of Moab.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to come together with partners who care about Utah’s natural resources, communities, and the future of our public lands.

🌧️ Emergency Conservation Assistance Available for Beaver County Producers

The USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) is accepting applications for the Emergency Conservation Program (ECP) to help Beaver County agricultural producers repair damage caused by flooding on July 19, 2026.

📅 Signup Period: September 14 – October 16, 2026

Approved applicants may receive up to 75% of the cost of eligible restoration activities, with a maximum cost share of $500,000 per natural disaster event.

Eligible practices may include:
• Removing debris from farmland
• Grading, shaping and releveling
• Repairing or replacing permanent fencing
• Restoring conservation structures
• Emergency soil erosion measures
• Other approved restoration practices

⚠️ Important: Producers should contact FSA before beginning reconstructive or restoration work. Required environmental compliance reviews must generally be completed before work begins in order to remain eligible for cost-share assistance.

🌾 Important Update for Utah Agricultural Producers

The Utah Department of Agriculture and Food (UDAF) has announced temporary relief for producers with existing UDAF agricultural loans.

Beginning November 1, 2026, interest rates on all active UDAF agricultural loans will be reduced to 0% for one full year, through October 31, 2027. The interest-rate change will be applied automatically—no action is required.

Producers who need additional flexibility may also apply to **defer loan payments for up to 12 months**. Deferral requests must be submitted by **October 31, 2026**.

These measures are intended to provide additional support and flexibility to Utah’s agricultural producers.
